So it’s been a rejuvenating vacation in a way that the Thanksgiving break didn’t quite get around to being. I’ve rediscovered cooking, and have made a variety of things and near disasters: lamb/goat stew; recreating: very runny eggs benedict; and now short ribs with chard and couscous. It’s these pairings which are a bit ridiculous but get me to thinking of how couples of movies could also thus be made: The Constant Gardener and Sahara, The History Boys and Jersey Boys, El Orfanato and Darkness, High School Musical and Hairspray (the unmusical).

So what if I’ve been procrastinating like the dickens? It’s the way things have to go…
